There is such a difference between living the life you had expected to live, and living the life you are living, knowing that there is nothing you would change for even a minute. We love our little boy more than life itself and couldn't imagine life without him. We love you Trace!!
God Sent To Me An Angel
By Paul Dammann
God sent to me an angel, it had a broken wing. I bent my head and wondered “how could God do Such a thing?”
When I asked the Father why He sent this child to me, the answer was forthcoming, He said “listen and you will see.”
“My children are all precious, and none is like the rest. Each one to me is special and the least is as the best.
I send each one from Heaven and I place it in the care of those who know my mercy, those with love to spare.
Sometimes I take them back again, Sometimes I let them stay. No matter what may happen, I am never far away.
So, if you find an angel and you don’t know what to do, remember I am with you, love is all I ask of you.”
The following poem was shared with me by another mother to a baby who has the same disorder as Trace:
A meeting was held quiet from earth
"It's time again for another birth"
Said the Angels to the Lord above-
"This special child will need much love."
Their progress may be very slow,
Accomplishments they may not show,
And they'll require extra care-
From the folks they meet way down there-
They may not run, or laugh, or play,
Their thoughts may seem quite far away,
In many ways they won't adapt
And they'll be known as handicapped.
"So let's be careful where they are sent
We want their lives to be content.
Please, Lord find the parents who
Will do a special job for you."
"They will realize right away
God we ask that You would provide healing for this precious one according to Your will; that he would overcome obstacles, setbacks, and negative doctor's reports. The name "Trace" in Gaelic means "warlike, fierce", and it's not a coincidence that his parents chose this name for him. Amen.
